New Horizons in Senior Mathematics Education: Mathspace’s Tailored Textbooks for Queensland
Mathspace is launching textbooks aligned to the senior curriculum in Queensland for the first time, and they're available in both digital and print format!
On behalf of the team at Mathspace, I am thrilled to announce that our new Year 11 and 12 print textbooks are almost ready for review, ahead of introduction into Queensland schools for 2025!
This milestone marks a significant leap in our commitment to delivering comprehensive educational resources for Queensland, from Year 3 right through to the Queensland senior curriculum, including the Essentials, General, Methods and Specialist courses.
As the Mathspace Edtech Consultant for Queensland, I am eager to share the innovative approach and meticulous efforts behind these textbooks.
A Fresh Start for Optimal Learning Outcomes
Unlike other educational publishers who are adapting old content to fit the new curriculum, Mathspace has taken a unique and fresh approach. Our textbooks have been developed from scratch, specifically designed by leading maths education experts for Queensland maths teachers and their students. This ensures that every piece of content is not only up-to-date but also purpose-built to foster strong learning outcomes for both specialist and methods students.
Collaboration with QCAA for Precision Alignment
Our collaboration with the Queensland Curriculum & Assessment Authority (QCAA) has been instrumental in this project. Under the guidance of Erin Gallagher, our Global Head of Education, we communicated closely with QCAA so that our new textbooks provide the best possible support for students studying senior mathematics courses in Queensland.
Erin’s expertise and her team's dedication have resulted in content that truly aligns with the QCAA’s rigorous standards, ensuring that our textbooks are exemplary tools for both teaching and learning.

Seamless Integration with Digital Resources
In addition to our new print textbooks, the same high-quality content will be integrated into Mathspace’s renowned digital platform. This means that teachers and students will have immediate access to these resources as they are released, even before the print copies are available - which we expect to be later this term. Our digital platform provides interactive question sets, step-by-step support, immediate feedback, and low-stakes diagnostic assessment with recommended practice—all of which complement and enhance the print materials.
