Introducing the new curriculum report in Mathspace
See class progress at a glance and track each student’s learning, right down to individual curriculum outcomes.

Tracking student progress involves more than monitoring scores. It requires a clear understanding of what each student has mastered, which areas they are still developing, and how best to support their continued growth. To assist with this, the Curriculum Report now provides a more comprehensive view of learning across your class—and right down to each curriculum outcome.
Based on real conversations with teachers, we’ve designed the new report to save you time, reduce overwhelm, and give you information you can act on straight away.
One place for growth and curriculum outcomes
Previously, you had to flip between the Growth and Curriculum tabs to piece together the full picture. Now, we’ve combined these into one report. You can see student growth data alongside proficiency data on a single page.
This means you can start with a bird’s-eye view of your class performance and then explore outcome-level detail. Whether you want to check progress across a term, review last week’s work, or track long-term growth, the new custom date filter makes it easy to focus on the timeframe that matters most.

Instantly see class-wide strengths and gaps
At the top of the report, you’ll find the class average for the selected date range. This quick snapshot shows you where the class is doing well and where they may need more support.

From there, you can sort curriculum outcomes by proficiency, so the outcomes where students are struggling most are grouped together. It’s a simple way to pinpoint gaps and plan targeted lessons.

Understand each student’s learning journey
With one click, you can move from the class view to a detailed report for each student. The updated student detail pages highlight strengths and weaknesses by strand, then let you zoom in further to see progress on each outcome. You can even track changes over time and view the exact questions a student answered that contributed to their proficiency level.
This level of detail supports informed conversations with students and parents about progress. It also means you can confidently identify where intervention or extension might be needed.
All your data, no spreadsheets
We’ve designed the Curriculum Report so there is no need to export and manipulate data in spreadsheets. Everything you need is now visible in Mathspace—clear, consumable, and ready to use. This makes it easier to review student progress as part of your everyday teaching routine, without adding extra admin to your workload.
A practical example
Imagine you’re preparing for a lesson on fractions. You open the Curriculum Report and filter for this term. At a glance, you see that while the class average proficiency in fractions is improving, many students are still struggling with “comparing fractions with unlike denominators.” By sorting outcomes, you can quickly confirm this is the lowest proficiency area.
From there, you move into the student view. You notice one group of students has consistently found these questions challenging, while others have started to show growth. This tells you exactly where to focus your next lesson: re-teaching this outcome to the whole class, then running a targeted small-group activity for the students who need extra support.
With this information in hand, your lesson plan is based not on guesswork, but on clear evidence of where your students are at—right down to the specific outcome.
